How to prepare
1) CHOOSE YOUR TOPIC-
Choose the topic in which you are keenly interested: a cause you like to fight for, a goal you like to attain, certain important Idea you like to communicate.
The subject must not be too broad.
2) BEGIN BY THINKING-
Your speech must convey your own ideas. So, enter into yourself and think up your own ideas, argument, comparisons. Begin feeling passionately about the topic, the means or remedies you would like to propose, the conclusions you would like to reach. Allow the central idea to grow and take shape in your mind.
3) READ A LOT-
General reading is a lifetime preparation for your speech. Reading help also to improve your word power. Stories, fact Data and information you have gather in your general reading will stand you in good stead when preparing your speech.
4) STUDY YOUR TOPIC -
It is important to know where to get the information required for a speech, example encyclopaedia, Internet, etc.
5) KEEP YOUR AUDIENCE IN MIND-
You must remember that you are going to talk to a particular group of people with a specific background, age, culture, taste and education.
6) STRENGTH YOUR ARGUMENTS WITH REFERENCES-
Stand your argument with suitable quotation from the relevant reference of incident in the live of great man. Used quotation, example, comparisons, statistics, factual data to make your point.
ORGANISE YOUR SPEECH
A good talk should have four parts:
1)introduction
2) A statement of the main division of your talk.
3) The body of your talk.
4) Conclusion.
PRACTISE MAKE YOU BEST-
Practise your speech again not word for word, but going over your point, adding com, argument to argument, calling a view from memory fresh figure and additional point. Speak now to an imaginary audience thundering away and g e s t u r i n g with Freedom.
